This is so adorable! My love showed it to me! He is now convinced to get a kitten in a future. Yay! *Laughs

My family, my love and I celebrated my mom's birthday at Fish & Co [glass house]. The service there was not good, I think it might be because of the crowd. However I believe that, that was not the first time they were busy, so how could they be unable to handle such situations.

We had to call for order for 3 times [very hard getting their attention and they kept telling us to wait to no avail] and remind them of our warm water and soup 4 times [they were served last, when we were almost done with our main dishes]. I think my dad got a little pissed.

I think only the Chinese guy and the Muslim girl were alright. The Chinese guy kept reminding other servers to attend to our needs because he was serving other customers [however the other servers got distracted, therefore they forgot about our warm water and soup all over again], whereas the Muslim girl was very attentive and quickly met our needs with a very apologetic attitude because she knew we had waited for like hell long for our warm water and soup.

Anyways, many people were having their birthdays celebrated there and there was this particular group that requested a particular song [Zombie from The Cranberries] from the live band, and instead of the singer singing it, she requested for the birthday girl to come up and sing! Guess what? The birthday girl really went up and sang it! We thought that she was good therefore she was daring enough to get up there and sing it, so we sat a little longer to hear how she would do.

Well, all patrons would have agreed that it wasn't good, but it was very spontaneous and she was such a good sport to have went up and have such great fun doing that number that I felt that it was really awesome. I think because she was not delusional about her singing, but did not want to be a party pooper and therefore I felt that she was awesome!

My mum and sis kept telling me to challenge her [or PK as you called it. What does it means anyways?] as I used to jam that song. I think it is my best number. *Laughs! They also told my love to get up there which he'll win hands down. *Laughs!

Jo's birthday celebration at Marche!

Cx bought party hats and masks for everyone to wear!

So yea, party hats on, let's get the party going!

Cx bought Jo a Prada bag!

*envy envy

This is the only picture I have with Cx [beside Jo] in it. Mastermind of the birthday celebration!
We made a mess of the area, not intentionally though *Laughs.
Cx bought sparkling candles which we thought we "sparkle" like those sparklers. So we were like "Hurry! Light all before they boobooboo". In the end, the candles REALLY sparkle -- they just gave off sparks. Sheesh

Happy Birthday!
Thank you Cx for organizing this event, really appreciate it =D

This was what happened on Jo's birthday celebration. I'm very lazy to type out the whole story, so I'm just going to quote from Jo's blog; link is at the bottom.

"Dinner was at marche but it wasnt really a pleasant experience. Super Cb i tell you all the pinos. Well cx made reservations at 6.30 and the person told her that it could only be kept for 15 mins. after that the place would be given up.

We went at 6.35. there were only 4 of us at that time cos the rest are late. The pino told us we cant go in, we had to wait outside cos at least half the number had to be there. WTH RIGHT! the place was very empty btw.

so we said, why not? Instead of explaining to us the details, she said i had already told you on the phone when you made the reservations. But cx said she didnt.

so cx told her no. you didnt. you only told me the place will be kept for 15 mins and i am aware of that. but why cant we go in?

so she kept insisting that she had told cx abt it and it is a reservation policy they had. then someone came over and said just let them in. and she did, BUT. all along her attitude was not very good and we were not happy abt it already. and she added on to it she said, “ok i will let you in, but its only for this time, next time i wont.”

but cx is already very very angry, she told her “there wont be a next time!”

And because i was also unhappy about her attitude, i told her pls get your manager to our table. AND GUESS WHAT! she said “you can complain me if you want, btw my name is myra.”

WTF RIGHT! like what kind of attitude is this. so later another pino came to our table. She also spoke to us in a harsh manner, as if it was our fault. and they are not in a wrong cos its the policy they had.

But hey, what happened to the customer service??? The place WAS LESS THEN HALF FILLED! omg. we were very pissed with her of cos.

and i tried to explain to her (all in a very nice tone) that, 6.30 we were suppose to reach. the place is only unti 645. so even if half the number of ppl should be there, they should have let us in and IF by 645 the number is less than half, we have to leave.

She didnt get what i meant OR she just insist that she is right. and after that, used harsh tone on us. so cx was so angry she told her to leave, cos she didnt want to quarrel on my birthday. the person was so scarastic she said, Thank you madam, thats so nice of you. Before that i also asked if she is the manager, she said no she is a supervisor but if you want you can complain to the manager.

WTF RIGHT!

then i asked a trainee after that, is your manager a pino? (Cos i believe it’s because they are all pinos thats why they sided each other and didnt even bother to understand what i was trying to bring across. She just kept using harsh tone on us)

the trainee said, i think so. So i said ok forget it.

But she came back a while later and said, oh i have 2 managers one is a pino one is a malay, so we told her to call the malay manager over.

True enough, this manager was more “manager-like”. she listened to us, and explained the policy and why they had to had the policy. Although the reason is lame, but at least she spoke to us nicely. so we told her “thank you we appreciate the way you explain things to us, but the way your staff handled the situation wasnt right.”

she apologized on behalf of the marche team, wished me happy birthday, and got me a cocktail in the end.
"

Quoted from Jo's blog;
Which by the way tasted [cocktail] like mouthwash, toothpaste or whatever it was. Which I think that it was a cryptic for us to decipher; "your mouth is dirty, wash it!"
I will upload the pictures when I get them.

My relatives from Australia came to visit. Nothing big, I know.

But! What you guys fail to realise is that I hold a grudge against my aunt, since I was really young.

When we used to live together in Australia, she was really obnoxious. Always chasing my sis and I to bed, we had to eat burger from a plate and the worst thing that she could possibly do was to disallow me from eating MY lollipop!

I used to regard sweets as, my God, my everything and in short, I held it on pedestal. I could just survive on sweets alone mind you.

Well, it started like this; It was Christmas and my cousin, sis and I went to see Santa! In return we got a huge blueberry lollipop after telling our wishes to Santa. When we got home, I started to bug my aunt to give me my lollipop [my parents and uncle were out], but she kept on procrastinating. At long last! She gave up and gave us three our lollipops [with plates, can you imagine that?] grouchily. Just after a few licks, my parents and uncle came home and if I remembered correctly, she grumbled to them and guess what?? They made us give up our lollipops [threw them away] in exchange with going to the beach! I had only a few licks of it!!!

You might think, we could always go to the beach another time. But they said either go to the beach now without the lollipop or there will be no next time. UNFAIR RIGHT. I was so frustrated that I bite off some pieces of my lollipop before surrendering it [I still had so much not eaten T_T].

See! If my aunt had given it to me earlier, or if she had not grumbled so much, I would have been able to finish my lollipop! MY LOLLIPOP! It was mine! Who was she to disallow me to have it! *Roar!

I had probably repeated this incident to my love and family like a dozen of times. I do not feel that strongly against my aunt anymore, but that incident will always stay on my mind.

I want to go shopping! Hee!
I unexpectedly met Brenda on the bus home. I happened to turn and my gaze swept pass a girl looking at me intensely, eyes popping out and all, and my head just whipped around again and we stared at each other for a split second before our grin widened at each passing moment. *Laughs

Anyways, chatted for a few before she had to get down.

I have nothing much to blog about at the moment. Sad huh? Writers block.

I'm stolen by the series of "Twilight"! My sister bought them because she had vouchers for them and I was not willing to read the soft copy form of it. You know what it can do to your eyes, and there is not much satisfaction gathered from it anyway. Experienced it when I read the soft copy form of one of Harry Potter's series before my sis bought it.

So anyways! I'm so hooked! I finished two of them in 3 days! Cannot stop! I'm going to rush my rj and go start on the 3rd book!

I almost cried in class because of "New Moon". Sniff

Debating if I should do a post on "my most embarrassing moments". Contemplating in progress.

"Dancing appears glamorous, easy, delightful.
But the path to paradise of the achievement is not easier than any other.
There is fatigue so great that the body cries, even in its sleep.
There are times of complete frustration, there are daily small deaths."
